I recently enjoyed lunch at Cheesecake Factory behind the Quakerbridge Mall in Lawrenceville, New Jersey with my spouse. I’ll have to say, I was disappointed with the look of the restaurant, but pleased about the food, service and pricing. It’s not a bad place for couples to enjoy a great meal for $30, but there are a few glaring issues that might be turn offs for other clients.
Let’s get started with the positives. The service was great! We were seated immediately, and waited no more than a few minutes before our waitress took our drink order. She was among the best waitresses I actually have ever encountered, probably the most patient, just about the most professional. It was clear that she cares about her customers’ needs. We noticed that our napkins were dirty, had crumbs on them, and our table had crumbs on it. My wife’s bread plate had crumbs into it. Okay, that’s a negative, but it fits the discussion. The waitress apologized, immediately took away our dirty plates and napkins and replaced these with clean ones.
I ordered the Factory Burger, which is actually a hamburger, covered with cheddar cheese, served on the wheat loaf topped with sliced almonds. Fascinating! I actually have never eaten a hamburger on a wheat loaf. It was a great burger, perhaps a little too much pepper, but it was juicy, flavorful, and cooked just the way I requested. The meal was included with a small, tin canister of shoestring fried potatoes, that had been crispy and delicious!
My wife ordered the Skinnylicious Chicken Pasta, which is made with Gemelli Pasta sauteed chicken breasts, fresh basil and fresh tomatoes. Warning for all customers! The chefs in the Cheesecake Factory LOVE pepper! My spouse sent her food back since it was too spicy. The waitress was so patient and kind about using the dish back and replacing it with an all new one without any pepper. We can’t fault the chefs for your one! They will serve it to you without pepper should you request it that way. My partner never specified no pepper. Okay, that one was on us! So, in the event you order the Skinnylicious Chicken Pasta, and you are not a fan of spicy food, make sure to specifically request no pepper.
Incidentally, the cost of that meal was only over $30. Which had been very affordable! I used to be a little confused as to who exactly was serving us. Our waitress took our order and checked on us frequently, but another person brought our food to us. In fact, a third unknown person presented my wife’s replacement dish. The number of people have to be involved for just two customers? We had been talking to a waiter and didn’t know his name. I guess I was able to have asked, however i am a fan of the wait staff wearing name tags. Not one of them within the restaurant were wearing name tags. I simply think it adds a private touch for the customer.
I mentioned this earlier, nevertheless the table had crumbs on it, and our napkins had crumbs to them. In addition, a floor around the restaurant was filthy, the silverware had spots into it, the wait staff was dressed up in all white (uggh) and also the greeters were dressed in all black (uggh).
The greatest issue was the menu. It’s too complicated! Pages and pages of products, wines, specials, etc. The waitress even commented on the menu’s girth. My spouse has eaten in the Cheesecake Factory before, so she features a favorite item jpnvlz the menu, which she ordered in the interest of time. I felt like I used to be reading a novel instead of a menu! I felt rushed as if I needed to merely hurry up and pick something. I have without doubt that everything on the menu is tasty, but also for those in a rush, it may be an issue.
Okay, to sum it up, the food at the cheesecake factory menu was delicious, the service was great, the pricing was reasonable, but the menu was too large and the appearance was sloppy and unkempt.
I am not a fan of taking a look at or wearing someone else’s leftovers. Which had been a massive turn off for me! That left a poor first impression to me! It’s not a thing that even great food or great service can overcome, in my view. I will not rush returning to The Cheesecake Factory at this particular location. I may eat there should i be in that area, but I will never go out of my approach to eat there down the road.
